Writing Your Thesis

Writing Your Thesis In-Person / Online

This writing workshop is designed to help students craft and / or revise strong thesis statements. Participants will learn how:

- To identify the specific, core argument or claim of their assignment or research,

- To practice refining their thesis statement(s) through interactive exercises and review of their real examples,

- To cover strategies for aligning their thesis with the overall structure of the paper, emphasizing how each section should develop and support their central argument.

By the end of the session, students will have further understanding of how to write a thesis that engages readers and sets a foundation for their writing practice. Feel free to bring your lunch or a snack!
