Ever wonder how to get the most out of your Google Scholar searches? Join us for this brief online workshop, where we will dive into all things Google Scholar!
Learning Objectives:
- The workshop will introduce the basics of Google Scholar, what it is, how it works and how to use it most efficiently.
- The workshop will discuss the sources covered in Google Scholar.
- The workshop will cover searching in Google Scholar, both natural language and more advanced techniques.
- The workshop will feature a discussion of the access problems in Google Scholar, as well as setting alerts
- The workshop will how how members of the Kean community may use Google Scholar to access full-text articles for free through Kean's library databases.
Learning Outcomes:
- Participants will be aware of and able to access the Google Scholar.
- Participants will be able to develop and implement Google Scholar search strategies that will help them access relevant books/ebooks, journal articles, data, and other relevant information sources.
- Participants will be able to revise Google Scholar settings in order to access "Full Text @ Kean University."
- Participants will be able to set up search alerts in Google Scholar.
- Participants will be aware of and able to materials covered in Google Scholar.
