Faculty Writing Innovation Lab: Qualitative Methods and Tools In-Person / Online

This session will select and apply qualitative research methodologies to enrich scholarly work. It will explore qualitative approaches, such as case studies, ethnography, focus groups, and interviews, as well as the most effective methods for gathering and analyzing data. The session will also cover essential tools for qualitative data analysis, including coding, software options, and thematic analysis that can streamline processes.  

Lab sessions include two back-to-back 45-minute sessions that incorporate hands-on / instructional activities and writing sessions. The labs will begin with step-by-step overviews of the research process and conclude with holding accountability writing groups regarding the specific research steps.
