Reading Strategies for Graduate Students Online
Graduate students will explore effective reading strategies designed to enhance their ability to retain, analyze, and synthesize complex academic texts. The session will focus on techniques for approaching dense or challenging readings, helping students navigate key concepts, arguments, and evidence with greater efficiency. Students will learn to identify critical themes and core ideas in scholarly articles, while developing strategies to take meaningful notes and summarize key points. The workshop will also address how to tailor reading strategies to different learning styles, whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic, to improve comprehension and engagement. Participants will discover tools for organizing and categorizing information, ensuring they can synthesize multiple sources into cohesive arguments or literature reviews.
